Funivie Folgarida Marilleva / Italy: New Pejo 3000

New in winter 2010-2011: the Pejo 3000 cable lift with two cable cars, each with a carrying capacity of 100 people, connects the Tarlenta area (at an elevation of 2000 meters) to the heart of the Ortles Cevedale mountain range at 3000 meters. A modern and capacious lift system that goes all the way up to Valle della Mite, giving skiers the chance to plunge down an amazing and thrilling 8 km descent to Peio Fonti. This new cable car will give skiers the opportunity to once again ski down the legendary Val della Mite slope, one of the most beautiful and amazing descents in all of the Alps, which now has a longer track and an increased slope. In addition to the new cable lift and the slopes, the “Pejo 3000” project also includes plans to increase the entire ski area. Thanks to this project, the extraordinary opportunity to ski at an elevation of 3000 meters in Val di Sole has greatly been enhanced (Peio and Presena glacier). The unique geographical location of the valley, and the fact that it has the highest mountains of the Central and Eastern Alps, is a guarantee of an abundance of snow.
